Our objectives

Our mission

In 1980 around 1.3 million elephants lived in Africa.

Today there are only around 400,000 left.

In Asia only 45,000.

There have never been so few elephants on our planet.

This is due, among other things, to poaching and habitat loss.

We're doing something about it.

Future for Elephants e.V. gives the threatened gray giants a voice. With public relations and press work as well as on social media, we create awareness for the dramatic situation of the elephants.

Our goals are:

  • the peaceful coexistence between humans and elephants
  • the conservation and expansion of protected areas and habitats
  • the end of poaching and the end of the ivory trade
  • the end of trophy hunting and the ban on importing hunting trophies

Animal, nature and species protection organizations as well as elephant experts all over the world support us in our mission.

Future for Elephants e.V. supports selected, successful elephant conservation projects in Africa and Asia. We attach great importance to the fact that the local population is involved. We are in constant contact with our partners on the ground and thus monitor the success of the donations we use.

Our work is voluntary and gilds the future of the elephant.
